SINGAPORE — Video editing giant CapCut has officially crossed a major milestone, reaching over 660 million monthly active users across more than 170 markets. To mark the occasion, the platform kicked off its global community event series, CapCut World 2026, in Singapore, where it showcased its latest suite of artificial intelligence tools led by its flagship desktop feature, EditPilot.
Speaking at the event, Xiaoqi Fu, Global Head of CapCut, highlighted the massive impact of AI on digital content creation. The platform now hosts more than 85 AI-powered editing tools, which are utilized by over 7 million creators daily. Throughout 2026 alone, CapCut users have leveraged these features to generate over 6 billion pieces of content, including video clips, images, and special effects.
The focal point of CapCut’s mainstage presentation was EditPilot, an AI-powered editing assistant integrated directly into the CapCut PC desktop application.
Designed to act as a virtual co-pilot for video editors, EditPilot allows users to perform complex editing tasks using simple, conversational text prompts.
